THIS looks like fun for everyone. Choccie for the kids and grape juice for the grown-ups. Artemis Wines is hosting a fun Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday. For just $5, kids can run through the vines searching for yummy eggs and there’ll be a special surprise too – FUN! Bookings essential.

2 :: Easter Sunday Lunch at the Gibraltar Hotel 

Hop into the Gibraltar Hotel in Bowral for a beautiful three-course lunch and bubbles on arrival – yay! Make it a family day out. Kids are absolutely welcome with the Gibraltar hosting a special Easter Egg Hunt for the little ones too.

3 :: Shop ‘til you hop! 

It’s a bit of a bummer that the Burrawang Easter Markets aren't on this year, but there are plenty of other markets to get your country markets fix this long weekend.

Support local artists by heading out on a self-guided art gallery tour of the Highlands. Start with this list here, and be sure to swing by the SHAC in Robertson where there are two fab exhibitions on show – Cat Doyle’s Ode To Poetry and Carriers of Light by Megan Seres. And check out Dream Machines by Rosa Fedele at the Bowral Art Gallery on Short Street.

5 :: Head outdoors and get active

We love this time of year for heading into the great outdoors – the wriggly sticks are heading off to hibernate, the mornings and evenings are crisp, cool and perfect for getting active without losing your body weight in sweat! Head to our Outdoors and Adventure Hub for a comprehensive guide of local walks and rides to hit up this long weekend.

6 :: Respect and reflect

The Easter long weekend is an important opportunity for many Highlanders to stop and reflect. Here's a list of local churches and places of worship where you can do just that.

7 :: Fire it up!

Us Highlanders love a good fire pit, right? And autumn is perfect for catching up with friends and family around an open fire with a few delicious local wines, frothies or spirits (just to warm you up from the inside too, okay?). Order a fab platter from Nadia at Highlands Grazing Co to graze on or head to Birch Store in Moss Vale to stock up on all things deli, cheesy, snacky and delicious to make your own! 8 :: Late nights and sleep-ins
