Something pretty darn exciting has popped up in Mittagong, thanks to the ever-entrepreneurial Gubbins Pulbrook Mitre 10 team.

The Highlands Selection Centre is a stunning space designed to help renovators, builders, homeowners, tradies and interior designers streamline the kitchen, bathroom and laundry design and installation process for new builds, facelifts or full-on reno’s.

This is one fabulous space! Wander the floors of the Highlands Selection Centre Kitchen Showroom and be prepared to want everything. We love how it’s split into sections and kitchen appliances are in situ so you can see how that oven looks with this cabinetry, or how this benchtop looks with that door profile. And there’s plenty of samples of benchtops, cabinetry, tapware, sinks, appliances and more – you’re really not going to need to go anywhere else.

2 :: It’s for everyone

When the Gubbins Pulbrook team came together a couple of years ago to create an awesome local, superbiz, they saw an opportunity to create a space where everyone – builders, tradies, DIY’ers, project managers, designers – could come in and source everything they need for a new build or reno under the one roof. And that’s exactly what we’ve got now with the Highlands Selection Centre.

Builders send their clients here or come in themselves and source what they need. Interior designers come in with their clients and plan out the dream kitchen for the new home, DIY’ers who love rolling up their sleeves and renovating swing by to get what they need to design and install a new kitchen – tapware, sinks, benchtops, splashbacks, appliances (and tiles coming soon) - all in one spot. That means dealing with less suppliers (one only!), more control over the project management side of things and of course, the all-important budget.

3 :: Book a consultation with a specialist kitchen designer

This is fab – Highlands Selection Centre have their own team of kitchen design specialists. There’s two options you can run with. Head into the Centre at Mittagong and have a sit-down consult with a designer for $49 or they’ll come to your place for a measure and quote for just $99. And if you go ahead with the kitchen, that cost comes off your final quote – cool, right?

These designers are super professional, experienced and trained in making the most of the space you’ve got. They totally understand flow and how you use your kitchen and will create a design based around that – practical AND beautiful.

4 :: It’s the home of Principal Kitchens

Australian made cabinetry and Hafele European hardware backed with a 10-year warranty to support our busy and contemporary lifestyles is what Principal Kitchens is all about. Think soft-close drawers and hinges, a range of door profiles to choose from - including Hamptons, Shaker, Country, Contemporary and more – all tied up in beautiful and practical design, guided by Highlands Selection Centre’s kitchen design specialists.

Because the cabinetry is made here, if you know what you want, the team can turn kitchen designs around from design to installation within 8-10 weeks. Boom! 

5 :: Fab brands you would normally have to travel north for.

We are absolute suckers for a sexy brand and Highlands Selection Centre have got loads of top brands on offer. Choose from Caesarstone, Smartstone or Laminex bench tops. With Highlands Betta Home Living also in store, you can shop a huge range of Smeg and Westinghouse kitchen appliances on display in the showroom, and the biggest display of Falcon cookers in NSW. You can also shop Swedish brand, Asko, Ilve, Fisher & Paykel and the Beko range, all at great prices! 

We are loving the fab Vintec wine fridges – wonder why?! Oh, and sinks are covered too – choose from the Abey range and the stunning Turner Hastings farmhouse style butler sinks – total showstoppers! Thanks to the kickarse network the Gubbins Pulbrook Mitre 10 brand has, and the fact this is a local business working with loads of other local companies and trades, Highlands Selection Centre can organise installation for you – how good is that? Of course, if you’re a DIY’er and quite handy on the power tools, you can install a Principal Kitchen yourself. We love that there is a range of options to suit a range of budgets and skillsets!

Heads up, appointments are a must to spend some time with a design consultant – you can’t just walk in, so use your time wisely and book it online and then perhaps play with creating your own kitchen design to take along to your appointment.
